Alexandra Breckenridge Details ‘Suffocating’ in Prosthetics for ‘My Secret Santa’

Alexandra Breckenridge had a great time playing jolly old Saint Nick in her new film, My Secret Santa — but the heavy prosthetics and fake belly needed for the transformation were admittedly “miserable.”

“I’m gonna be totally honest, it’s the most uncomfortable thing in the world,” Breckenridge, 43, exclusively told Us Weekly while discussing the film. “It’s so uncomfortable because it’s suffocating your skin for 12 hours, and then I had a beard as well, obviously, so that was glued to my face, and then the mustache, so it was really hard to eat. My skin was just really angry.”

Breckenridge takes on dual roles in My Secret Santa, playing Taylor, a down on her luck single mom who asks her family to help her pretend to be an old man so she can get a job as Santa Claus at a ski resort. Breckenridge ends up spending most of the film as her secret identity, a job that required her to wear facial prosthetics, a fake belly, wig, beard and the iconic red velvet suit, all of which weighed about 15 pounds.

“When I was outside shooting in negative nine degree weather, it was great,” Breckenridge said with a laugh. “But when I was inside, doing Santa’s Village with the kids, I was so hot. I had to put ice packs in the front and in the back of my suit. And my wonderful team who did my prosthetics, they would come in with these fans and try to fan me. I have some hysterical photos from set!”

Breckenridge noted that despite how “miserable” she felt “physically,” taking on the two-part gig was the best acting experience she’s had in years. “I got to play a character within a character,” she gushed. “I was able to just be silly and be ridiculous. And it was so much fun.”

That fun, however, only manifested after she pushed past being “terrified” of a script that required such heavy lifting.

“I was like, ‘This could turn out to be absolutely awful if I can’t make the audience, or help the audience, follow this character in the story line and have that suspension of disbelief. It’s not going to work,’” she recalled. “But I think part of the wonderful thing about life is to challenge yourself often. And this was definitely a challenge.”

As for taking on the task of portraying the one and only Kriss Kringle, Breckenridge said she looked to Tim Allen’s portrayal in The Santa Clause — but putting on the magic suit is what really did the trick.

“What helped the most was getting everything on,” she told Us. “I had some inkling of what I was going to do, but [then] I really got into the full hair, makeup and suit and I found a walk.”

There was also the added angle that Breckenridge isn’t actually playing Santa – she’s a woman pretending to be him, which means the portrayal isn’t always going to be spot on.

“My character, Taylor, she’s not an actress, so there has to be some level of naiveness to the role, because she doesn’t, like, jump into playing Santa Claus and just know exactly what she’s doing,” she quipped. “I think that’s also what makes it kind of funny.”

If playing dual roles, rocking heavy prosthetics and pretending to be every kid’s favorite magical figure wasn’t intimidating enough, Breckenridge had the added challenge of getting up on stage — in freezing cold temperatures — to sing and jam out on guitar for one of the film’s final big moments. Luckily for the Virgin River star, her voice was not required, only some top-tier level lip-syncing.

“It’s not my voice. I almost sang it, but then that scared me more than playing Santa Claus!” Breckenridge confessed, adding that the guitar solo was slightly easier since she “grew up” playing and her husband, Casey Hooper, is also a guitarist.

Still, shredding wasn’t exactly easy.

“That song is actually shockingly hard to play because of the reach, and I have very tiny pinkies,” she added. “I practiced it many, many, many, many times, but you know what? Once I got out in that freezing cold weather, I could barely move my fingers anyway, so all the work that I had done leading up to that moment, I was like, ‘Well, I’ll just keep them in the same position!’”

One thing that was easy? Building chemistry with her on screen love interest, Ryan Eggold, who’s character finds himself very confused when he starts to build a special kind of connection with Taylor — and Santa.

“With chemistry, a lot of it can be accidental, but I find that if you have a similar sense of humor, you can slide into a rapport with somebody very easily, and that helps,” the This Is Us alum explained, noting that she and Eggold, 41, have been friends for decades. “And if you know your partner is willing to make jokes with you and just have fun. It’s like playing tennis or something, you have to hit the ball back and forth, and so if you can get into that rhythm with someone, it shows on camera.”

Every Holiday Movie on TV This 2025 Season: Hallmark, Netflix and Lifetime

Breckenridge and Eggold’s sparks certainly translate on screen, and the pair — along with Tia Mowry and the rest of the cast — deliver one of Netflix’s most delightful and hilarious movies of the holiday season. While Breckenridge hopes that “everyone” falls in love with the film, she’s mostly excited for people to see her stretch her acting legs in a different way.

“I love working on Virgin River, but I was really looking for something that I could sink my teeth into as an actress,” she told Us. “And this was definitely that kind of role.”

My Secret Santa is now streaming on Netflix.

HGTV Star Hilary Farr Addresses Viral Rumors About Her Health

Former Love It Or List It star Hilary Farr is shutting down viral rumors that she’s in ailing health.

“Ta-da! I’m alive,” Farr, 74, said in a Wednesday, November 26, Instagram video, responding to online speculation that she was on her deathbed. “I’m very, very, very much so alive and well, I’m happy to say.”

Farr further called images of her wearing an oxygen mask the result of “bad AI” editing.

“I hope none of you would take any of this seriously and realize it is just fake beyond words,” she stated. “Well, I’m here to prove that. So, just checking in! All’s good with me.”

Stars Who Beat Breast Cancer: Linda Evangelista, Cynthia Nixon and More

Farr is a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed in 2014 and subsequently underwent treatment.

“I’ve teamed up with the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Action Month,” Farr said in a social media video shared in September, one month before Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “It’s time to share our stories, get this out in the open and support our communities — and most importantly, get screened.”

Farr, now in remission for several years, further offered a piece of advice to others in similar situations.

“For now, take a deep breath, sit with your friends and just talk about it,” she added. “Think about what you can do to raise awareness and action this October.”

Farr was best known as the designer on Love It or List It for 19 seasons, ultimately departing in 2023.

“It’s been a wonderful 12 years. I’m so grateful to the network for their support and to my fans who have stayed loyal and true,” she told Us Weekly in a statement at the time about her show exit. “David [Visentin, my cohost] and I will remain friends forever and I expect him to be as fabulously and hilariously annoying as ever.”

Farr concluded, “Love It or List It has had such a true impact on so many lives, including mine, but now it’s time for me to embrace new challenges that have come my way. If this is my legacy, it’s a great one.”

Visentin, 60, the realtor on Love It or List It. He attempted to encourage show participants to sell their house and buy a new one, while Farr tried to get the homeowners to stay put with a renovation.

“Working with Hilary has been a wild, unforgettable ride. I’d like to forget the mountain of ‘love its’ but hey, she’s a talented lady,” Visentin said in his own statement to Us in December 2023. “Although we were rivals on the show, we became quick friends and share countless memories both on and off set. I look forward to continuing that friendship and wish her all the best in everything she does.”

Visentin now cohosts Love It Or List It with Page Turner, while Farr led her own Tough Love series for one season that same year. Farr also handles DIY upgrades for her own pad.

“Teeny sneak peek at my new kitchen which I love. Couldn’t have done this without @latitudesurfaces and @kohlerstoretoronto,” she wrote via Instagram earlier this month, sharing pics of her interior progress. “More to come. I’ll do a big reveal when it’s all finished!”

Ireland Baldwin Calls Kim Kardashian ‘Shameful’ for Alleged Elephant Purse

Ireland Baldwin slammed Kim Kardashian for allegedly carrying a rare elephant leather Birkin on her series All’s Fair

Daniel Wesson — the fashion-focused content creator behind the account Birkin Junky — posted an Instagram Reel on November 21 showing Kardashian, 45, with the gray Hermès handbag in a clip from the Hulu legal drama, in which she plays glamorous divorce attorney Allura Grant. Elsewhere in Wesson’s Reel, there were glimpses of Kardashian posing with the bag during a break in filming.

“This is … Beyond,” a horrified Ireland, 30, wrote in the comments section of the post, per Buzzfeed

The daughter of exes Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger also shared her reaction via Instagram Stories, writing, “This is so disgusting and shameful. I don’t understand how these people are supported the way they are.”

Kim Kardashian Wears Rare $300,000 Birkin Bag at Soccer Match in Japan

Us Weekly has reached out to Kardashian for comment.

Ireland was not alone in her criticism, with many detractors arguing that Kardashian had crossed an ethical line.

“Hermès no longer makes elephant leather bags (Thank god) but back in the 80s they had a custom order made by a client of Hermès who brought in [an] elephant hide from a hunting safari,” Wesson claimed in the caption of his Kardashian-centric post. “They rarely pop up but when they do, they take the internet by storm 👜.”

According to PETA, the French luxury label never “officially” sold the elephant purses but did craft a number of them from the elephant skin. The off-market purses have since been spotted on the digital shelves of high-end vintage sellers like 1stDibs.

Did Kim Kardashian Just Spend $10M on an Original Birkin Bag? Fans Speculate

Kardashian, a Birkin bag collector, recruited stylist Soki Mak to pull together her sleek All’s Fair wardrobe, which consists of vintage pieces from John Galliano, Donna Karan and Jean Paul Gaultier.

Kardashian reached out to Mak via Instagram about collaborating on Allura’s look.

“Honestly, when I first opened the DM from Kim, I thought it was a fake profile,” Mak said in a recent interview with Vogue. “We collaborated on a couple of projects together before the All’s Fair opportunity came around. Everything was moving at such a fast pace that I didn’t really have time to digest the magnitude of the opportunity and what I was about to embark on. It was all very last-minute.”

Mak told the outlet that she and Kardashian “knew the show would be a talking point, regardless of whether it’s to someone’s taste. What we were trying to convey with Allura is that she doesn’t give a s*** what other people think. She knows exactly what she likes and doesn’t follow trends. She has her own style and has fun with it.”

How Kim Kardashian Really Feels About Those Brutal ‘All’s Fair’ Reviews

She continued, “The confidence comes with a woman who can wear clothes, not let them wear her. There’s a sense of freedom in that, and I think that you can see that when Allura walks down the hallway in the law office, she exudes confidence. These outfits were obviously exaggerated for TV, especially the Jean Paul Gaultier look with the thong detail. I know a lot of people on set were also confused, but Kim and [producer] Ryan [Murphy] got it straight away.”

If There’s 1 Movie You Should Stream This Weekend, Watch This 1 Now (November 22-23)

Casual wrestling fans may only know about the biggest names in the industry like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair.

But in Texas during the ’80s, no one was bigger or more over with the crowds than the Von Erich family.

Director Sean Durkin‘s film, The Iron Claw, is inspired by the true story of the Von Erichs and the tragedies that shattered them.

Now that The Iron Claw is on Prime Video, it’s Watch With Us‘ pick for the one movie you need to watch this weekend.

6 Must-Watch Drama Movies on Prime Video (November 2025): ‘The Iron Claw’ and More

‘The Iron Claw’ Recaptures the Spirit of Wrestling in the ’80s

This film only had a $15.9 million budget, so it couldn’t fully recreate the spectacle of World Class Championship Wrestling at the Sportatorium or Texas Stadium. Instead, The Iron Claw aimed to recapture the spirit of professional wrestling in Texas. In the era before everyone knew that professional wrestling was scripted and fake, the Von Erichs were treated like real-life superheroes. The crowds in Dallas and all over Texas couldn’t get enough of them.

Although they aren’t big players in this film, wrestling legends Ric Flair (Aaron Dean Eisenberg), Michael P.S. Hayes (Brady Pierce), Bruiser Brody (Cazzey Louis Cereghino), The Sheik (Chavo Guerrero Jr.), Harley Race (Kevin Anton) and Gino Hernandez (Ryan Nemeth) are all present in the movie. Those names may not mean much to anyone who doesn’t love wrestling, but modern professional wrestling owes a great deal to all of those trailblazers.

The Cast Give Terrific Performances as the Von Erichs

There are two standouts among the cast of The Iron Claw: Zac Efron as Kevin Von Erich and Jeremy Allen White as Kerry Von Erich. They played the most famous Von Erich brothers, and the ones who left the biggest mark on the industry. Efron and White have to do a lot of the heavy lifting for the film’s most dramatic scenes, and they bring out the inner emotions of Kevin and Kerry.

Prime Video Just Added This Underrated 2009 Movie — and You Need to Watch It Now

Holt McCallany is also fantastic as their father, Jack “Fritz” Von Erich, the man who pushed his sons to follow in his footsteps as wrestlers. Harris Dickinson and Stanley Simons deserve recognition as well for their portrayal of the other Von Erich brothers, David Von Erich and Mike Von Erich, respectively. They may have had limited screen time compared to Efron and White, but they made the most out of what they had to work with.

‘The Iron Claw’ Is a Profoundly Sad Yet Hopeful Movie

Some critics have described The Iron Claw as an anti-sports sports movie, because this isn’t a story about a triumph over adversity. Instead, the Von Erichs are trapped in a series of heartbreaking tragedies that shatter their wrestling legacy and leave the ones they leave behind dealing with sorrow and despair.

There are so many bad things that happened to the Von Erichs that the film actually excluded the fifth brother, Chris Von Erich, from the narrative and gave some of his story to Mike. Everything that went down led to talk about a Von Erich curse, and it’s easy to see why people would attribute their downfall to something like that. The truth is more complex, but The Iron Claw manages to end on a hopeful note for the last of the Von Erich brothers. It’s not the happiest ending, but it’s a ray of sunshine compared to the endless gloom of their lives.

The Iron Claw is streaming on Prime Video.

Dolly Parton’s Health Updates: Everything She Has Said About Her Illness

Dolly Parton has been recovering from some health issues in 2025.

In September, Parton surprised fans when she missed a scheduled visit to her Dollywood theme park to celebrate the new Night Flight Expedition Ride. Instead, the country singer appeared in a prerecorded video message played for the crowd.

“Hello Dollywood! It’s me,” Parton said in the clip, which was shared by attendees via X. “I know — and I’m here, and you’re there. And you’re wondering why that is? Well, I had a little problem. I had a kidney stone that was causing me a lot of problems. Turned out it’d given me an infection.”

After assuring fans she needed time to rest, Parton also postponed her Las Vegas concerts scheduled for December due to a “few procedures.”

Dolly Parton Is Fine, Dealing With Kidney Stones, Rep Says

“Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” she told fans in an Instagram post in September 2025. “But, I believe he is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with you all.”

Instead of attending a Dollywood appearance to celebrate the new Night Flight Expedition ride in September 2025, the singer appeared in a video to the crowd revealing she had “a kidney stone” causing her a “lot of problems.”

“Turned out it’d given me an infection,” Parton explained at the time in the clip, shared by attendees via X. “And the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better.’ So he suggested I not go to Dollywood today, but I am there with you in spirit and I was looking forward to it.”

Parton apologized to fans that she couldn’t “be there in person” and said she would “be back as quick” as she could.

“Don’t worry about me, I’m gonna be OK. Just can’t do it today,” she said.

Postpones Vegas Shows Because of ‘Health Challenges’

After missing her Dollywood appearance, later that month Parton pushed back her Las Vegas concerts, scheduled for December 2025, by nearly a year because of her health.

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” she said in a written statement shared via Instagram that September. “As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

Dolly Parton’s Sister Clarifies Comments Asking Fans to ‘Pray’ for Her

The legendary singer went on to say that “in all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see.”

“You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” she said, adding that she will be “able to work on all of my projects here in Nashville” for the time being. “I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say. And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But I believe he is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with you all.”

Parton concluded her message by thanking her fans for “understanding.” The shows were rescheduled for September 2026.

Opening Up About Worries Over Her Health

After concern for Parton’s health rose following her Vegas show cancellations, the singer reassured fans that she isn’t dealing with “anything major.”

“I wanna say something,” Parton said in a video posted on social media in October 2025. “Well, today’s October the 8th and, obviously, I’m here doing some commercials for the Grand Ole Opry, which is why I’m dressed kinda like a country western girl.”

Parton went on to say she knows that “everybody thinks” she’s “sicker” than she really is.

Another One of Dolly Parton’s Sisters Speaks Out About Singer’s Health

“Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here,” she explained. “Anyway, I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease, those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate. And I appreciate your prayers ‘cause I’m a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything. But I want you to know that I’m OK.”

The singer explained that she’s “got some [health] problems,” which she has “mentioned” previously.

“Back when my husband, Carl [Dean], was very sick, that was for a long time, and then when he passed I didn’t take care of myself, so I let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of,” she said. “So, anyway, when I got around to it, the doctor said we need to take care of this, we need to take care of that. Nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home and closer to Vanderbilt [University Medical Center] where I’m kind of having a few treatments here and there. But I wanted you to know that I’m not dying.”

Parton went on to address a fake photo of her and Reba McEntire that contributed to the rumors about her health.

“Did you see that AI picture of Reba and me? Ooh, Lordy. I mean, they had Reba at my deathbed. And we both looked like we needed to be buried,” she joked. “But I thought, ‘Oh, my Lord, if I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed.’ She might come visit me earlier, but anyway, there are just a lot of rumors flying around, but I figured if you heard it from me you’d know that I was OK. So anyhow, that’s what I wanted to say, and I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me and I ain’t done working. So I love you for caring, and keep praying for me.”

Needing Time to Rest After Health Issues

In November 2025, Parton missed her induction into the IAAPA’s Hall of Fame for Dollywood — and instead spoke in a video message to fans.

“I sure wish I could be with you in person today, but you probably heard that I’ve been dealing with a few health challenges this fall, and my doctors told me to take it easy for just a little while,” she explained in an Instagram video. “And I’m truly sorry I can’t be there, but I sure wanted to take the chance to say thank you for this incredible honor.”

Adam Sandler Feels ‘Guilty’ Doing Stand-Up Comedy in Front of Daughters

Adam Sandler says he feels “guilty” doing stand-up comedy in front of his daughters.

Sandler, 59, addressed the awkwardness during his Wednesday, November 19, appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s ABC late-night show, telling the host that Sadie, 19, and Sunny, 17, briefly attended his recent performance in Las Vegas.

“I’m very filthy,” the comedian confessed. “You know, I curse a lot. Been doing that my whole life. I feel guilty because I shouldn’t have done it, but I do it and I continue to do it.”

Sandler recalled, “It was my daughter’s birthday. They came to Vegas to see me. Right away, I [said], ‘Goddamnit.’ They’re in Vegas. ‘Can we bring our friends and we’ll celebrate at one of your shows?’”

He thought, “I can’t be myself” or “curse in front of them.”

Adam Sandler’s Best Quotes About Being a Dad to 2 Daughters

He had previously noticed “shame in their eyes” after they witnessed him cursing onstage. Describing his daughters’ reaction, the Happy Gilmore star joked, “‘Who is that guy? That’s a fake guy, that’s a stand-up comedian guy.’ You get the real daddy at home.”

In an effort to keep it clean, he tweaked his November 1 show at the Fontainebleau “out of respect for the kids and their friends.”

Sandler told Kimmel: “I’m on stage, knowing my daughters and their friends are in the crowd. I’m changing everything up. It’s Vegas, everyone’s expecting filth. And I’m not giving them the filth for like an hour and 45 minutes.”

Besides making jokes, Sandler had the crowd sing “Happy birthday” to Sunny, whom he and wife, Jackie Sandler, welcomed on November 2, 2008.

“Then I come off the stage, and my wife’s waiting for me,” he said. “I go, ‘Hey.’ She hugs me [and says], ‘Great show, I love you.’”

When he asked Jackie, 51, if the kids enjoyed it, she replied, “Oh, they left five minutes into it. Because they wanted to have fun with their friends. I think they went and had dessert or something.”

Sandler said he was “happy” they skipped the event, noting, “I did curse a few times and there were things that I was going to have to explain.”

He wrapped up his two-month, multi-city “You’re My Best Friend” tour this month. And on December 5, Jay Kelly, his new film with George Clooney, will start streaming via Netflix.

Adam Sandler’s Daughter Sunny, 16, Stuns Crowd With Song at His Comedy Show

Sandler plays Ron Suzenick, the longtime friend and manager of Clooney’s title character, an A-list actor having an existential crisis.

Speaking with Us Weekly in October, Sandler recalled that Jay Kelly director Noah Baumbach “called me, like, a year before I got the script. He said he’s had an idea and he’s going to write it and I’m in it. And then I got to read the script, get affected by it emotionally and say, ‘Thanks for doing all the work, and now I got to make sure I don’t let you down.’”

“It’s a good feeling,” he added.

The Saturday Night Live alum frequently appears with his family in comedies that he produces, such as You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah and Happy Gilmore 2.

“It’s always been our thing to work with our friends and family,” Sandler explained to USA Today earlier this year. “It’s cool to see [my kids] getting better. They work hard and they go to school for it, and they love it. So, yeah, I’m just proud. Couldn’t love them more.”

RHOSLC’s Heather Gay Had Doubts About Husband ‘About 3 Days’ Into Marriage

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Heather Gay shared rare insight into her dynamic with ex-husband Bill before their divorce.

“About three days into my marriage, I realized that we were fiercely, deeply incompatible,” Heather, 51, revealed in the first episode of her new docuseries, Surviving Mormonism, which premiered on Bravo Tuesday, November 11. “I thought he was marrying me for all the reasons he wasn’t, and I was marrying him for all the reasons he did not want to be a husband.”

In the new series, Heather set out to dive deeper into the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, exploring the scandals and secrets kept behind closed doors. She opened up about how her own relationship with religion shifted over the years.

“It wasn’t like I hit some point in my life where Mormonism started to be a burden,” she told the cameras. “From the moment I was aware of it, it supplanted my identity. I’m a cradle Mormon, I was born into the faith. And I loved being Mormon growing up.”

RHOSLC’s Heather Gay Thinks She ‘Reads Harsher’ After Weight Loss

Both of Heather’s parents were from Mormon families. “All of our family rituals and family traditions and family togetherness was centered around church activities and our church beliefs,” she said. “I had these siblings who were my built-in best friends and we were all in on it together. And I didn’t feel like it was fake.”

According to Heather, one of the most important principles of the Mormon faith is “that the greatest happiness on earth can be found within the family and the family is the vehicle by which to grow closer to God and attain eternal life.”

“That belief informed the type of family I wanted to create for myself,” the reality star continued. “The second I met someone that was willing, I knew that I had the capacity to make any marriage work because I loved God, I loved being Mormon, I was good at being Mormon. But I was very, very wrong.”

Heather and Bill — who also comes from a long line of loyal Mormons — got married in 2000 and separated after 11 years. The former couple’s divorce was finalized in 2014.

“Divorce wasn’t in my vocabulary,” Heather said in Tuesday’s episode. “I didn’t know anyone that was divorced. But he did. My marriage was ending and my Mormon dream was shattered too. And my entire life imploded.”

The ‘RHOSLC’ Cast Breaks Down the ‘Sisterhood’ That Keeps Them Together

RHOSLC fans have seen Heather navigate her life post-divorce with her and Bill’s three daughters since the show debuted in 2020. During season 6, Heather got candid about coparenting with her ex-husband.

“My husband never had custody of the children,” she said on RHOSLC in September. “He never had them overnight. I had them 100 percent of the time. And his involvement was, you know, fun dad visits once a week.”

Heather admitted that raising her kids alone was a “really hard” era in her life. “And mostly hard because I couldn’t show them it was hard,” she told her fellow Housewives. “I acted like it was perfect and normal, and I was so happy, and I was so fine. And I loved everything I was doing. But I was gritting my teeth the whole time. I’m exhausted, honestly. I’m just looking forward to a new chapter.”

All three episodes of Surviving Mormonism With Heather Gay will be available to stream on Peacock Wednesday, November 12.

President Donald Trump Suggests It’s ‘Illegal’ for Seth Meyers to Mock Him

President Donald Trump is taking aim at yet another late night host after previously attacking Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.

Seth Meyers of NBC may be the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television,” the president wrote via his social media platform Truth Social on Saturday, November 1. “In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise. I watched his show the other night for the first time in years. In it he talked needlessly about electric catapults on aircraft carriers which I complain about as not being as good as much less expensive steam catapults.”

He continued, “On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic. Why does NBC waste its time and money on a guy like this??? – NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!”

Meyers has yet to publicly respond to President Trump’s online rant, though it is one of many social media posts from the Commander-in-chief targeting the hosts of various late night programs.

Everything Jimmy Kimmel Has Said About Being Taken Off the Air and His Return

After ABC briefly took Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air following host Kimmel’s remarks over the untimely death of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk, the president openly celebrated the move — one that appeared politically motivated after the Trump administration’s chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Brendan Carr, threatened ABC, Disney and Kimmel.

“Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED,” Trump wrote on September 17. “Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done.”

The president then set his sights on the remaining late night hosts, Meyers and Jimmy Fallon.

“Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible,” Trump continued in the same post. “That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT.”

One hour prior to the show’s return on September 23, President Trump again took to Truth Social to threaten ABC for bringing back Kimmel’s program.

“I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back,” Trump wrote at the time. “The White House was told by ABC that his show was canceled! Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE and his ‘talent’ was never there. Why would they want someone back who does so poorly, who’s not funny, and who puts the Network in jeopardy by playing 99% positive Democrat GARBAGE.”

He continued, “He is yet another arm of the DNC and, to the best of my knowledge, that would be a major Illegal Campaign Contribution. I think we’re going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers! Let Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad Ratings.”

Kimmel tripled his regular viewership during his late night return following his dubious suspension. A reported 6.26 million viewers tuned in to watch him retake the stage on September 24, according to an ABC press release. The host performed higher than normal in the 18 to 49 demographic, earning the episode its “highest regularly scheduled episode in over 10 years.”

Jackie Kennedy’s Grandson Slams Julia Fox’s Gory Halloween Costume

Jackie Kennedy’s grandson Jack Schlossberg has thoughts about Julia Fox paying homage to his late grandmother with a gory Halloween costume.

“Julia Fox glorifying political violence is disgusting, desperate and dangerous,” Schlossberg, 32, wrote via X on Friday, October 31. “I’m sure her late grandmother would agree.”

Jack is the only son of Caroline Kennedy and her husband, Edwin Schlossberg, who also share two daughters. Caroline’s parents were Jackie and former president John F. Kennedy.

Fox, 35, had paid what she claimed was a tribute to Jackie with her 2025 Halloween costume, dressing in a pink tweed suit that was covered in fake blood. Her outfit was reminiscent of the ensemble that Jackie wore when John was assassinated in 1963. (Jackie later died in May 1994.)

Julia Fox Defends Her Jackie Kennedy Outfit: ‘Not a Costume But a Statement’

Fox’s costume soon sparked backlash, with some social media users arguing that the actress was glorifying John’s death, though she later defended her outfit choice.

“I’m dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement,” Fox wrote via Instagram on Friday. “When her husband was assassinated, she refused to change out of her blood-stained clothes, saying, ‘I want them to see what they’ve done.’ The image of the delicate pink suit splattered with blood is one of the most haunting juxtapositions in modern history. Beauty and horror. Poise and devastation.”

She continued, “Her decision not to change clothes, even after being encouraged to, was an act of extraordinary bravery. It was performance, protest and mourning all at once. A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality. It’s about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance.”

As for Jack, he has tirelessly worked to uphold his late grandparents’ legacy through the years.

“I’ve always felt super lucky that there’s this massive historical record about my family that I can learn from. A lot of people don’t get to have that kind of relationship with their ancestors,” Jack told Vogue in a July 2024 interview. “I’m so lucky for it, and so I try to learn as much as I can from them. I think my grandpa’s speeches are the coolest things ever. His administration actually did so much that’s still with us today, and he inspired a whole generation of people to enter public service — and still does.”

Jack further called John, who died at age 46 and never met his grandchildren, his “hero.”

“The first thing I ever got really nerdy about was him, his speeches and his administration,” Jack told the outlet. “It’s a blueprint for how progressivism can work in America and how America can lead the world in a positive, optimistic, science-driven way. As I’ve grown up, I’ve become more involved in the official obligations that come with being part of my family.”

Jack also revealed that his family’s legacy is to “try to stay positive about government” despite the partisanship and divisive political climate.

“I try to stay positive, and for some reason, these days, that’s a unique perspective,” he said. “To me, if you’re going to talk about stuff, it’s a responsibility to try to make it a little bit better.”
