Egnat Katengeza arrested over sister Agness’ murder

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Police Service (MPS) in Lilongwe are keeping in custody Egnat Katengeza on suspicion of murdering her biological sister Agnes Katengeza.

Egnat has therefore has been formally charged with murder.

Lilongwe Police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu told Times 360 Malawi that Egnat is currently being held on remand.

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the Police disclosed the arrest of Egnat, who is suspected of being a master conspirator in a murder suspected to be financially motivated.

Egnat’s arrest follows the December arrest of Amos Katengeza, 27, the stepbrother of the late Katengeza who according to Chigalu, named Egnat as the main conspirator of the murder.

However, police only interviewed and released Egnat at that time to allow for further investigations.

“Since then, detectives have worked tirelessly, uncovering critical evidence that links Egnat directly to the murder,” Chigalu said.

Prophet Kambale prophesizes end to Peter Mutharika’s political journey

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Founder of the Lilongwe-based Life International Church, Prophet Amos Kambale, has prophesied that former President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika (APM) will not stand at the upcoming Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) convention.

Kambale says the decision, which Mutharika will announce soon, put to rest the debate on the political future of the former Head of State.

The prophet revealed the prophecy during the Sunday service at Mbinzi Secondary School Hall in Area 3 in Lilongwe.

He quoted 1 Thessalonians 2:17-20, which talks about clearing satanic hindrances for one to receive things from God.

Kambale spoke in parables after a lengthy teaching full of revelations of insights where so many miracles of healings and accurate prophesies were conducted.

Without directly mentioning the name of Mutharika or DPP, the prophet painted a picture on what holds for the former Head of State and his party.

“I see an old shining star not standing at a gathering of stars later this year. Right now the star is considering standing or not. Am talking of a big star in the blue sky. He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the church. You remember I said at Crossover, there will be more drama right from the start of the year and 2025 we may not get there. Drama!” he said.

For some months now, Peter Mutharika has left Malawians guessing whether he will stand at this years the upcoming DPP indaba later or not, saying he is still considering.

During the service, Prophet Kambale also prophesied correctly to so many things about a South African woman who visited the church mentioning her family life, relatives, sickness and things that will soon happen to her although it was her first time to visit the church.

As the prophet revealed truths to the woman’s life, the woman broke into tears confirming everything the prophet was saying to be 100 percent correct.

In total, he prophesied to over 15 people in a single service unveiling hidden information, details and offering directions and solutions.

Early 2021, Prophet Kambale prophetically advised his congregation not to be quick to take up Covid-19 Astra Zeneca vaccine, saying they should wait suspecting it might have been dangerous.

And just a few days later, seven European countries suspended the use of Astra Zeneca citing negative side effects.

And true to the word of the prophet, Covid-19 is now just like any other disease.

Within the service, Prophet Kambale cast out demons and healed a lot of sick people.

He is known for accurate prophesies and jaw dropping miracles.

Prophet Kambale is a spiritual son to Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa of Zimbabwe.

“Prophet Kambale healed me from life-threatening cancer”- testifies Lilongwe resident Gareti

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-A 34-year-old resident of Kawale Township in Lilongwe, Evance Gareti, has testified that he was healed from life-threating cancer at the Life International Church.

Gareti made the testimony on Sunday before a curious congregation that attended a church service, which took place at Mbinzi Community Day Secondary School Hall in Area 3.

Life International Church, founded and led by Prophet Amos Kambale, has recently made headlines in the media for ‘performing healing on any diseases and making prophesies’ that have come true.

Gareti said in early December 2022, while walking about at his business place, he stepped on a nail on his right foot.

Immediately, the foot and leg started swelling.

“I visited Kamuzu Central Hospital for help and the doctors conducted a series of scanning and tests on the leg. But to my surprise, the doctors diagnosed me with cancer and I was given a day of 28th December for another diagnosis,” he said.

Garet said following the accident, he could not walk properly, he could not wear shoes and was in constant pain.

While listening to Nkhoma FM Radio on the evening of 9th December, 2022, he heard about the moving testimonies from prayers, which Prophet Kambale was hosting at Mbinzi Secondary School Hall.

“In that program, I heard the pastor challenging people to bring along any difficult situation and God would heal it. I connected to the call in my spirit and on 11th December, 2022, I congregated at Life International Church where Prophet Kambale was ministering. 

“I remember vividly in that service the man of God was ministering on a theme “DELIVERANCE FROM AFFLICTIONS”, I knew on that moment that my deliverance had come. During the ministration, the man of God prayed for me and instantly, the whole pain, which I was feeling left me and I was completely free,” he narrated his testimony.

Cancer is a serious terminal disease that has claimed many lives the world over. But Gareti said one does not have to wait for the situation to reach a boiling point before meeting God through Prophet Kambale.

He claimed that God had anointed Kambale for such a season like this.

“If you feel you have an affliction that is causing you to be stressed and giving up. Connect to the prophetic Grace, God will reward you with a miracle and numerous testimonies. For your own testimony, you are advised not to miss the church Sunday services, which happens at Mbinzi Secondary School,” concluded Gareti before resuming his seat.

In 2018, Prophet Kambale healed a woman from HIV who had been on ART for years. The woman came all the way from Ntcheu to get prayed for in Lilongwe at the invitation of a relative who stays in Chinsapo.

She was later certified HIV free by the Lilongwe District Health Office (DHO)
