Police have arrested a 19-year-old man for stabbing his 43-year-old stepfather, Eric Thomson to death in Marikana.
Police Spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone confirmed the incident in a statement.
According to Mokgwabone, the victim and his stepson had an argument before he was stabbed to death which police believe led to the tragedy.
A report by Daily Sun revealed that police discovered Thomson’s lifeless body at his house with a stab wound at his back when they responded to a call.
Emergency Rescue service declared the victim dead at the scene and the suspect was immediately arrested.
Investigation have been launched into the matter and police have condemned the incident in strongest terms.
