The African Development Fund: Supporting Girls’ Education in Tanzania

In Tanzania, the African Development Fund is supporting the education of young people. The Fund granted the country $32.7 million in funding to build two vocational training centres with necessary equipment. The  Fund has also contributed to improving teachers’ manuals. Starting with around a dozen boarders at first, the centres have grown and now have more than 2,000 students gaining a basic education. Subira Khamisi shares her story.
