TNM Mpamba reduces Lake of Stars coach rides by 20%

BLANTYRE (MaraviPost)—With three days to go in the count-down to the much awaited Lake of Stars Festival , official telecoms partner TNM today proudly announces another exciting discount of 20 percent for customers that buy their AXA bus tickets to the festivals using its mobile money service, Mpamba.

The offer follows a transportation package partnership that TNM and luxury bus company AXA has clinched with the objective of providing convenience and safety to festival goers from Malawi’s two major cities of Blantyre and Lilongwe. The two cities have international airports from where foreign patrons and others are expected to connect by road to the Southern Lake Malawi district of Mangochi where the three-day beach party will unfold.

“This offer is valid for festival goers travelling to Mangochi from either Blantyre or Lilongwe cities. TNM has decided to make transportation to the festival comfortable and safer through AXA coaches,” said PR & Sponsorship Manager Limbani Nsapato.

Nsapato disclosed that AXA will provide 4 buses to this year’s Lake of Stars Musical Festival 2 buses each from Lilongwe and Blantyre so that people are able to travel to the lakeshore district of Mangochi comfortably.

“The normal coach fare from Blantyre to Mangochi is K8,000 while Lilongwe to Mangochi the fare is pegged at K9,000 but as the official telecoms partner for the festival, we are offering a discount of Malawian K6,400 and K7,200 respectively,” he said.

The PR & Sponsorship Manager said these tickets will be bought from designed AXA pay points across the country.

“What our customers and those willing to register on Mpamba need to do is to visit any AXA pay points across the country and get the tickets at a discount prize,” he said.

This is the second discount for TNM to offer as Lake of Stars official telecoms partner. The first offer was a 25 percent ticket discount for Mpamba customers which will be valid until Wednesday, September 24, 2014.

TNM has also dished out three tickets to lucky winners of a Facebook Promotion on the festival.

The Lake of Festival is scheduled to take place at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi from September 26-28. The festival is to feature several artists both local and international including the best MTV Africa Music award winner Mafikizolo from South Africa who is expected to jet in the country on Friday.
