Ugandan school teacher Kenneth Komakech arrested for killing his mother

KAMPALA-(MaraviPost) –The Police in Uganda have arrested a school teacher identified as Kenneth Komakech, 48, over the alleged murder of his mother in Alero sub-county, Nwoya district.

Aswa River region Police spokesperson, David Ongom Mudong confirmed the arrest adding that the murder was reported at about 6:43 pm at the station.

According to NewVision, Komakech brutally killed his mother, Jacinta Oroma, 64, on Sunday, May 15, 2022 after a heated argument.

The fight began when the deceased accused the suspect of stealing her chicken which resulted in Komakech assaulting the victim and allegedly killed her in the process.

Both the suspect and the deceased were allegedly drunk at the time of the incident and it is alleged that Komakech lifted Oroma and hurled her onto the ground during the fight. she reportedly remained unconscious after the fall and later died.

The suspect handed himself over to police and the body of the deceased was taken to Anaka General Hospital mortuary pending a postmortem.
