World Vision Malawi appeals for more solutions on ending GBV

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-World Vision Malawi has appealed to different policy makers and Malawians to keep discussing issues related to gender-based violence in order to initiate solutions that work for all.

World Vision Malawi’s Director for Business Development Pennia Mavedzenge as they reflected on the organisation’s effort to to End Violence Against Children at the organisation’s head office in Lilongwe.

Mavedzenge said that no one is safe until everyone is safe, appealing to all Malawians never to pay a blind eye where violence is taking place.

As part of the 16 days of activism, World Vision has held different awareness campaigns across the country. Besides, the organisation is running the It Takes Malawi to End Child Marriage Campaign which seeks to reduce cases of child marriage by 20%.

In addition, the organisation is also implementing the adolescent girls and young women project in Mangochi, Mulanje, Thyolo and Lilongwe to reduce the prevalence of HIV and promote entrepreneurship among young women.
