LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Old Mutual Malawi Limited on Saturday, July 16, 2022 launched funeral plan dubbed as “MTHUNZI FUNERAL PLAN” in the capital Lilongwe.
The policy ranges as low as MK2,800 for customers to start contributing monthly and categorised into three; Elite, Standard and Premier.
Old Mutual Life Assurance Managing Director Roy Punungwe told The Maravi Post that the policy covers funeral services and benefits on death of any life assured.
Punungwe disclosed that with one month premium, covers customer’s needs, spouse, children and other dependents including parents.
“This product seeks to ease the pain and inconvenience that our customers unfortunately experience whether the loss of a loved one occurs. The product will alleviate the financial pressure and logistical burden that our customers are forced to endure while they are in deep mourning and in need of great assistance.
“Mthunzi funeral plan will offer end to end guaranteed funeral services to customers in return for monthly premiums. We are therefore committed to provide seamless funeral management from start to finish which allows the bereaved families opportunity to celebrate the life of their departed loved ones with the dignity they deserve,” he assured.
The policy covers anyone between the age of 18 to 65 for Malawian citizens and resident living in Malawi.
