MRA confiscates former Police chief Peter Mukhito vehicles over tax evasion

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Reports reaching this publication reveals that Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) has confiscated former Inspector General (IG) of Malawi Police Service (MPS) Peter Mukhito vehicles for failure to clear custom duties.

Sources within MRA told this publication that confiscated former Chief State Residences Mukhito vehicles including Toyota Land Cruiser (VX8), registration number BW 6060, Range Rover – No number plate, Toyota Land Cruiser (VX8) – No number plate, Mercedes Benz, registration number CPM 2, VW Passat, registration number CP 7074, Toyota Fortuner, registration number MH 950, Bentry, registration number FW16LS-GP.

The confiscated vehicles are being held at Lilongwe MRA offices for document clearance custom document.

Both MRA authorities and Mukhito were not available for comment on the matter.
