The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has dismissed claims of disunity and division within the party, following the absence of the vice president and regional governor at a recent rally in Chatoloma, Kasungu district.

According to party officials, the secretary general, Peter Mukhito, was aware of the reasons for the duo’s absence and had communicated with them beforehand.

Mukhito, a former Inspector General of Police, has been instrumental in strengthening the party’s structures and promoting unity among members.

His leadership style and experience have earned him the respect of party members, and his ability to communicate effectively has helped to resolve potential conflicts.

The DPP has attributed the claims of disunity to propaganda from rival parties, particularly the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

According to party officials, the MCP has been attempting to sow seeds of disunity within the DPP, but has failed to do so.

“The DPP is stronger than ever, and our unity is evident in the way we conduct our party activities,” said Namalomba, DPP’s spokesperson.

He added, “The absence of the vice president and regional governor at the Chatoloma rally was not a sign of disunity, but rather a result of prior communication and agreement with the secretary General.”

The party has also dismissed claims that the absence of the vice president and regional governor was a sign of cracks within the party.

According to party officials, the DPP has a strong leadership structure in place, and the secretary general is fully in charge of party activities.

“The DPP is a united party, and our leadership is committed to promoting unity and strength among our members,” said DPP’s senior Member on condition of anonymity. “We will not be distracted by propaganda from rival parties, and we will continue to work towards our goal of promoting the interests of Malawians,” he added.

In related news, the DPP has announced plans to hold a series of rallies and meetings across the country, aimed at promoting unity and strength among party members.

The rallies will be addressed by senior party officials, including the secretary general, and will focus on promoting the party’s vision and policies.

As the DPP continues to promote unity and strength among its members, it is clear that the party remains a formidable force in Malawian politics.

Despite attempts by the outgoing Malawi Congress Party to sow seeds of disunity, the DPP remains committed to promoting the interests of Malawians and working towards a brighter future for the country.

The DPP’s dismissal of claims of disunity and division within the party is a clear indication of the party’s strength and unity.

As the party continues to promote unity and strength among its members, it is clear that the DPP will remain a major player in Malawian politics for years to come.
