The donation was made this evening in Lilongwe, with TNM Chief ICT Officer Peter Munthali presenting the cheque to Ictam officials.
Munthali said TNM’s support for the event is driven by its relevance to the country’s digital transformation agenda and the company’s desire to contribute to the growth of Malawi’s ICT sector.
“We believe that events like the ICT Expo play a crucial role in showcasing innovation and promoting digital inclusion, which are essential for the country’s economic development,” Munthali said.

Ictam President Clerence Gama expressed gratitude for TNM’s support, saying it will go a long way in ensuring the successful hosting of the expo.
The event, which will take place from June 5 to 6, 2025, at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe, will feature exhibitions showcasing innovative ICT solutions, corporate awards to recognize excellence in the industry, and discussions on key issues affecting the sector.
The theme of this year’s expo is “Accelerating Malawi’s Digital Economy with Innovation and Inclusion.” Gama said the theme reflects the association’s commitment to promoting digital inclusion and innovation in Malawi, and TNM’s support will help to make this vision a reality.
The ICT Expo provides a platform for industry players to come together and discuss issues affecting the sector, as well as showcase innovative solutions that can drive economic growth.
