LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The governing Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda says opposition parties infighting has given outright victory for President Lazarus Chakwera in the forthcoming September 16 polls
Chimwendo therefore urged Malawians to vote for Chakwera and leave the opposition parties to keep on fighting themselves.
He made the remarks on Sunday, August 31 at chilimampunga ground in Lilongwe barely a day after opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) held the rally at the same venue on Saturday.
During the rally, MCP Secretary General Richard Chimwendo addressed the crowd, criticizing the opposition for infighting.
He used a biblical example to drive home his point, emphasizing the need for unity among Malawians.
Chimwendo’s remarks come as the MCP continues to rally support ahead of key elections.
The MCP is positioning itself as a strong contender, highlighting its policies and track record.
The Chilimampunga ground rally demonstrates the MCP’s ability to mobilize large crowds and showcase its support base.
Chimwendo’s comments underscore the party’s commitment to unity and development.
