BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-UTM President Dr. Dalitso Kabambe has lauded Malawians who have turned out in large numbers to cast their votes in electing leaders for the next five years.
Qccompanied by his wife, The UTM leader arrived at Chikumba Centre in Masambanjati Constituency to cast their votes.
Upon arrival, they were welcomed by election officials at the centre and given ballot papers. Security at the polling station is tight.
Dr. Kabambe told reporters after casting his vote that “Is pleased with the high voter turnout, describing it as a demonstration of people’s right to choose their Member of Parliament, Councillor, and President”.
There are about 17 Presidential candidates battling out for State House with about 7.2 millions voters.
