It is now indisputable fact, that, the leading opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has far much penetrated into the interiors and farthest hard-to-reach corners of Mangochi as on Saturday, the Party’s Vice President Muhammed Sidik Mia took Makanjira by storm.

Accompanied by his firebrand politician wife, Abida Mia, the people of Makanjira got the highly anticipated opportunity to catch a glimpse and interact with the top notch politician couple.

Welcomed by songs of joy, that rose to the skies and saturated every bit of air, Mia preached the powerful message of unity and oneness  among the people of Makanjira and of course the entire district.

He emphatically urged them, to avoid creating room for political leaders coming with any message of division and disunity.

Before distributing MCP cloth to over 2000 party members, Mia urged the people of Makanjira to rally their support behind the only trusted and “corrupt free” MCP leaders with Lazarus Chakwera and his runningmate, Sidik Mia for President and Vice President respectively in the next year’s elections.

He emphasized that, MCP leaders is the only recipe for a better Malawi and nothing better for Malawi minus MCP leaders with Lazarus Chakwera as the presidential torchbearer for 2019 elections.

A great moment was when Mia’s wife, Abida addressed the supporters by giving them a message of “renewed hope” for a better Malawi for all  women under the MCP-led government.

The women supporters shared the celebration hangover of madam Mia, whose outstanding efforts  towards the empowerment  of women across the country had earned her a special recognition through a “Bibi Khadija” award.
