MCHINJI-(MaraviPost)-Two Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and Malawi Congress Party (MCP) monitors were on Tuesday arrested in two separate centers in Mchinji for allegedly wanting to vote twice.

Mchinji police publicist, Inspector Kaitano Lubrino told Zodiak radio but refused to give details, saying they are still following up the issue.

The centers are Mphanga and Mkanda under Mchinji Central and Mchinji North constituencies respectively.

About 6.8 million Malawians are expected to vote whose results will be announced within eight days.
