BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—The country’s football giants, Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty BeForward Wanderers are struggling in TNM Super League as they have collected six points only from the possible twelve points from their first four games.
The two teams who shared the spoils last week after 1-all draw at Kamuzu Stadium have been dealt with a big blow in their quest to become the league’s champions after failing to collect maximum points in their fourth assignments.
Bullets conceded a late equalizer on Sunday at Chitowe Stadium as they played Mafco making it a third draw while Wanderers were held to goalless draw by Civo United on Saturday.
Wanderers started the league with an impressive away victory over Silver Strikers before Dwangwa United held them to 1-all draw at home while Bullets started with a draw and got maximum points in the next game against Red Lions.
Following the weekend’s results, Bullets and Wanderers are trailing on position five and six respectively with six points from four games, eleven points behind league leaders Blue Eagles.
The police men have maintained their superb performance following their triumph over Red Lions on Sunday. The win means the Lilongwe based police men are comfortably on the driving seat with 15 points, seconded by Mzuni FC with 9 points from four games.
Moyale Barracks is on position three with 7 points. Epac, Bullets, Wanderers, Civo, and Silver Strikers are on position 4, 5, 6, and 7 respectively with 6 points each but separated by goal aggregate. Mafco and Azam Tigers are 9th and 10th placed with 5 points each. Kamuzu Barracks and Wizards FC who have 4 and 3 points respectively are on 11th and 12th slots.
Staggering in the relegation are Dwangwa, Red Lions and Max Bullets. Karonga United is yet to play its first game.
