
BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The head of Anglican church’s Upper Shire Diocese Bishop Brighton Malasa over the weekend received a huge support from parishioners following their vigil at his house, Chilema, Malosa, Zomba.
The vigil grouping composed of Archdeacons, parish priests that showed support of the Bishop Malasa of his quality leadership in the church.
This is block to the grouping that advocating the removal of the Bishop as their evil plans of causing divisions in the church have been exposed.
It has been learnt that the rebellious leaders hold personal grudges against bishop Malasa as they do not have clear agenda. .
The angry vigilante told The Maravi Post that any plans against the Bishop will face demonstration.
“The rebellious leaders their aim is to take the church leadership to themselves without the entire church members endorsement which wont work.
“We shall always be here to defend our beloved Bishop each time they try to come here to disrupt the activities of the church, enough is enough”, said one of the concerned people.
A source at the administration of the diocese said that the demands that the disgruntled group had raised have been met including recruitment of a new diocesan Secretary.
The Bishop has also dissolved the board of governors for the Diocesan institutions and replaced them with new ones, audit has been done.
But, surprisingly the group is trying to bring in new and petty issues which are considered as just personal hatred against the Bishop.
There was no immediate reaction from Bishop Masala on the weekend’s development.
