Mzuni graduate commits suicide after testing positive to Covid-19

In a shocking incident, Mzuzu University alumnus has allegedly committed suicide after testing positive to Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Blantyre.

The deceased, who has been identified as Dalirani Fulutuna, resorted to the extreme step on Tuesday.

Sources said that he concealed his Covid-19 status for some days before taking his life.

Dalirani graduated from Mzuzu University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Humanities) and was a teacher at Central High School in Blantyre until his death.

One of the medical practitioners at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital told Maravi Post that depression might have prompted the young man to resort to the extreme step.
