MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-Unknown people have brutally murdered Stantin Mchulu, a CCAP church Reverend stationed at Kamalambo Church around Jenda trading center in northern district of Mzimba.

Mzimba Police Deputy Public Relations Officer John Nyirongo told The Maravi Post that the reverend, who has been identified as Stantin Mchulu, was ministering at Kamalambo CCAP Church in the district.

Nyirongo added that on this fateful night, the deceased’s wife heard a strange noise from the back door of the house and so she alerted her husband who rushed to see what was happening.

“Few minutes later, he came back complaining to have been stabbed by a robber. He had a knife inserted half way at the back of his body. The wife and her children removed the knife and the deceased fell down unconsciously with more blood oozing from the neck and the back.

“Immediately, the deceased was rushed to Jenda Health Centre where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Postmortem results indicated that he died of severe loss of blood,” he added.

Meanwhile, police in the district have instituted investigations to manhunt the suspect.

Reverend Chulu, 57, hailed from Kathibi Village, Traditional Authority (T.A) Kampingo Sibande in Mzimba.
