Australian married custom agents & IT worker arrested for possessing largest drugs since 2017

Married customs agents Rachel Cachia and Donovan Rodrigues, and IT worker Stephen Mizzi, have been arrested for being in possession of crystal meth that is almost a quarter of the annual usage in Australia.

According to the authorities, the drugs are believed to provenance from South East Asian country.

Along with 1.6 tonnes of methamphetamine with 1.2bn Australian dollars (£622m) value , about 37kg of heroin was also unearthed in vacuum-sealed packages which had been concealed in speakers.

The three will be charged of drug importation offences at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court which potentially carry life sentences. They will remain behind bars till May 7, 2020 waiting for their sentence.
