LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Former UTM Youth Director Bon Kalindo was on Monday, December 20, 2021 granted bail after re-arrested on Friday following claims that former deputy speaker Clement Chiwaya was killed not short dead himself.
Kalindo popularly known as Winiko also allegedly claimed to know the people responsible for killings of persons living with albinism in Malawi.
The Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Court therefore charged Kalindo false information publication under the laws of Malawi.
On Monday, Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Wanangwa Nyirenda granted Winiko bail and ordered him to pay a cash bond of MK50,000 and two surities of MK200 000 non- cash bond each.
However, the case will commerce on February 1, 2022.
Kalindo, political activist has been leading demonstration against President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse government on cost of living.
