MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima on Sunday, May 10, 2020 claimed that the former president Bakili Muluzi is threatening his life.
Chilima is Tonse Alliance’s runningmate to Lazarus Chakwera told the victory mega rally in Mzuzu that Muluzi has been sending young boys to intimidate him for his political prowes.Chil
The UTM leader advised the former president whose son Atupele is running for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)-United Democratic Front (UDF) alliance that he focuses much on his retirement.
Chilima warned Muluzi over his past corruption charges under cover that the coming government will not spare him.
“Let me tell you, you have no right over my life. If you want your son to become the VP, let him just campaign, don’t stop people from campaigning in the eastern region”, VP claims.
He says UTM patron Noel Masangwi and eastern region governor Alhaj Sande have been attacked in Machinga.
Chilima therefore appead to alliance supporters not to pelt stones at DPP officials but rather do clean campaign for July 2, 2020 fresh presidential elections.
The alliance is expected to hold another mega rally in Lilongwe this coming weekend.
