There was jubilation for a 35-year old female farmer in the central district of Dowa after imaged as one of the first lucky winners catering home with MK50,000 in the on going Airtel Tisanje promotion.
In the first draw conducted on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Airtel Malawi Head Office in the capital Lilongwe, witnessed 30 subscribers winning MK50, 000 each for being part of the promotion launched on Friday, July 31, 2015.
With MK50, 000 won, Rebecca Chidenkhu of Bimphi village, Traditional Authority (T.A) Chiwere, plans to buy farm inputs including fertilizer, seeds among others for the upcoming growing season.
“I couldn’t believe that MK50, 000 was coming to our family. This money is coming at the right time when was needed most to cater for farm inputs for the upcoming growing season as we grow maize, tobacco and groundnuts”, delighted Rebecca, a mother of five children when speaking with The Maravi Post after the draw.
The promotion which runs from July 31 to October 25, 2015 will see 56 customers wining MK100,000 monthly whilst daily winners have chance taking home MK50,000 and the three grand ultimate winners will walk away with MK5 million.
