DPP to issue formal statement to adverse court ruling soon says HON Grezeldar Jeffrey

Jeffrey wa Jeffrey,
DPP Secretary-General Gridezer Jeffrey wa Jeffrey,

After suffering a humbling partisan defeat from the ConCourt undeterred Jeffrey released the statement below thanking DPP supporters the biggest and strongest party in Malawi.

The Democratic Progressive Party wishes to thank its supporters in particular and all Malawians alike for the peace and calm demonstrated before, during and after the conclusion of the Constitutional case. This is a clear manifestation of the DPP ideology built on the three pillars: PATRIOTISM, INTEGRITY and HARD WORK. As the largest party in the land, we believe in the rule of law, peace and order as fundamental pillars of a democratic society.

The Mighty DPP remains committed in fostering nation building, social development and addressing issues in a peaceful and democratic means. DPP commits to uphold the spirit of constitutionalism, good governance and democracy as always professed by our leader His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.

The party therefore urges all its supporters and Malawians of goodwill to maintain peace and order as we chart the way forward.

The DPP will issue a formal statement following the Constitutional Court judgment.
