LILONGWE–(MaraviPost)-Lilongwe-based Super League outfit Creck Sporting Club has reinforced its squad with nine new signings ahead of the upcoming season.
Club Chairperson Muhammad Seleman confirmed the signings, stating that they were made based on recommendations from the technical panel to strengthen the team.
“We are happy as the executive committee to bring in these players, who were recommended by our technical panel. The league is kicking off soon, and we are excited to have a mix of experienced and young talent. We are optimistic they will deliver beyond our expectations, and we believe we will have a strong team this season. Let me also take this opportunity to thank our patron, Apostle Kawinga, for his unwavering support,” said Seleman.
Among the notable signings is Miracle Gabeya, a former Mighty Wanderers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC defender, who joins Creck Sporting Club on a one-year deal as a free agent after leaving Mozambican side UD Songo.
Gabeya, an experienced center-back, brings valuable leadership and defensive stability to the team.
Another key addition is Brighton Munthali, a highly rated goalkeeper from Blue Eagles FC, who is expected to provide a strong presence between the posts.
Akuzike Lifa, formerly with Silver Strikers, joins the midfield ranks, while Tathedwa Willard, Kondwani Chilembwe, and Misheck Botoman have also arrived as free agents to strengthen various positions on the field.
The club has also secured the services of Patrick Mupanzi from Chilomoni United, a talented attacker looking to make an impact in the top tier.
Meanwhile, Isaac Msiska, who played for Mzuzu City Hammers, and Hassan Hussein from FOMO add further depth and versatility to the squad.
With these signings, Creck Sporting Club is aiming for a strong campaign after finishing sixth in their maiden Super League season and securing a spot in the prestigious Airtel Top 8.
Meanwhile, newly promoted Ekhaya FC from the Southern Region has also been active in the transfer market, signing 11 new players.
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC, on the other hand, has strengthened its squad with four new additions, including right-back Andrew Jovinala from Blue Eagles FC and Zambian international Dominic Musonda.
