Creck Sporting Club suspends coach Mtetemera over poor performance

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The newly promoted TNM Super League outfit from the Central Region, Creck Sporting Club has suspended head coach McDonald Mtetemera over poor performance.

The Club General secretary Aaron Kandiwo Mtaya confirmed Mtetemera suspension in an interview with the MaraviPost on Thursday, July 18

“Indeed we have suspended our head coach for the rest of the first round due to the poor performance of the team. We are planning to hold a dialogue with the coach and assess the performance of the team.

“His suspension is based on what was agreed in the contract he signed before the season commenced”, Mtaya said.

The club has also communicated that the former TP Mazembe, Caps United FC maestro midfielder Joseph Kamwendo who was Mtetemera’s deputy will lead the team until the end of the 2024 TNM Super League season first round.

However, the suspended Mtetemera has refused to comment on the matter.

Creck Sporting Club’s next match is against Kamuzu Barracks FC away at Aubrey Dimba ground in Mchinji on Wednesday, 24th July 2024. The match comes barely days after the Apostle Clifford Kawinga’s sponsored side suffered a 2-1 loss against Civil Service United FC at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

The rookies are in position 7 with 19 points from 13 games they have played. They managed 5 wins 4 draws and lost 4.
