(MaraviPost): In a statement made available to the Maravi Post from ACB reads, “The Anti-Corruption Bureau regrets to inform members of the public about the tragic death of Mr. Issa Njauju. Mr. Njauju was murdered on the night of Thursday, the 2nd of July, 2015. His body was discovered on 4th July, 2015 and was laid to rest on the same day.
Until his death, Mr. Issa Njauju was ACB’s Director of Corporate Services. Mr. Issa Njauju’s work involved administration, finance and human resource management. He was in no way directly connected to any investigations or prosecutions.
Meanwhile, the police are investigating the circumstances leading to the murder.
The management of the Bureau wishes the bereaved family God’s comfort during this trying moment”.
The emphasize from the bureau that Mr. Issa Njauju was not directly connected to any investigations or prosecutions is to rubbish reports that have been circulating on social media that he was killed because of his work on DPP cashgate scandals.
His death still remains a mystery for the police to solve. If the culprits are not caught and brought to justice the nation will remain suspicious
