
LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-There is a need for Tonse government administration to involve traditional leaders in the ongoing process of Land Reforms as it places them in high esteem, Deputy Minister of Lands and Urban Development Abida Mia says.
Mia made the emphasis in her key note address at the Golden Peacock Hotel in Lilongwe, when she was Guest of Honour during the opening of the High level workshop on lessons learnt from the pilot project on implementation of land laws in the three districts of Phalombe, Kasungu and Rumphi.
The Deputy Minister appealed to stakeholders to exercise due diligence in the best interest of Malawians and inclusive spirit of the Tonse philosophy as they reflect on the lessons learnt.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Minister led the presentation of customary estates certificates to beneficiaries from Rumphi District.
