Malawi FA donates 100 balls to local clubs

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Football Association of Malawi on Monday, March 18, 2023 donated 100 footballs to the Super League of Malawi (SULOM) to be distributed to the 16 Super league teams for their training.

The development is one way of cementing the cordial working relationship between FAM and SULOM.

The donated consignment including footballs with Moto brand for teams new test.

Receivin the donation, SULOM Chief Executive Officer, Faith Mzungu-Vilakati hailed the football governing body for the timely support.

“Teams lack different pieces of equipment including footballs as they prepare for the new season. The balls will go a long way to assist in preparing for the new season”, said Vilakati.

Presenting the balls FAM General Secretary Alfred Gunda said: “As FAM it is our desire to contribute towards the development of teams in the elite league. Teams require to have enough footballs as a key piece of equipment in football.”

This is the first time Malawi FA Football has disbursed balls to local clubs since the change of leadership at Chiwembe in December 2023.

FAM recently also announced the increment of the Super league teams subventions from MK10 million to MK20 million.
