Malawi President has rebuffed PAC recommendations to Fire Jane Ansah and MEC Commissioners

LILONGWE, MaraviPost: Malawi President will not follow Public Appointments Committee of Parliament recommendations to dissolve MEC commissioners.

Part of his reasoning are that letters for the commissioners being invited to a PAC hearing are not included in a report sent to him

Malawi President Peter Mutharika also believes that the commissioners were not given enough time to prepare

The President also says the commissioners were also not given an opportunity to bring lawyers

Malawi President Peter Mutharika has returned the PAC Report on MEC Commissioners as a hastily submitted report which lacks seriousness and is almost laughable.
