LILONGWE (MaraviPost)—After a year in the Wilderness wandering about sponsorship, perhaps as their name suggests; one of Malawi’s football power houses, Mighty Wanderers FC, has sealed a sponsorship deal with Be Forward, a Japanese Car Exporter Company, Maravi Post has learnt.
Be Forward Car Exporter Company three months ago asked three Football Clubs in the country namely Big Bullets, Mighty Wanderers and EPAC FC to forward to them proposals for a possible sponsorship and it has pleased them to settle for Wanderers FC , Bullets’s arch-rivals.
According to information from Steve Palemeza, Wanderers Marketing Manager, the deal is worthy a whooping 66 Million Malawi Kwacha just in a season.
Be Forward, which is yet to establish its offices in Malawi, recently organized a bonanza which saw Silver Strikers winning the trophy against Epac FC, Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers, the only teams which participated in the bonanza.
