NUMPULA-(MaraviPost)-The Police in Mozambique, have arrested a man in northern Nampula province for selling his late parent’s bones in exchange with a motorbike.

The man is reported to have exhumed the graves of his parents and uncle in exchange with a motorcycle and more than $300 (£234) in cash with a businessman who is involved in the exploration of mineral resources.

As quoted by BBC, the man said: ” ‘The boss told me to look for bones from people who died without getting sick. In exchange, you will get a motorbike. I went to a family cemetery, dug up the bones from my father’s, my mother’s and my uncle’s graves.’

Police spokesperson said the incident was the fifth such case in the area this year and most people believe it is linked to witchcraft.
