Old Mutual Malawi hosts thrilling executive golf tourney at Blantyre Sports Club

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Old Mutual Malawi Limited on Saturday hosted a highly successful Executive Golf Tournament at the prestigious Blantyre Sports Club, themed “Swinging into the Mutual Future”.

The event brought together over 80 business leaders, visionaries, and passionate golfers for a day of networking, engagement, and competition.

The tournament saw Goodwin Chinseu emerge as the champion in the Men’s Category, while Maria Tandwe dominated the Ladies Category. Both winners walked away with a prize of K1 million and a trophy.

In the senior categories, James Chimwaza scooped the gold medal in the Men’s Senior Category, and Faith Samat excelled in the Women’s Senior Section.

According to Tavoma Biza, Old Mutual Malawi Group Chief Executive Officer, the tournament was designed to engage and interact with existing and potential customers in a relaxed environment.

“We organised this tournament as a way of engaging and interacting with our stakeholders,” Biza said.

The event provided a unique opportunity for Old Mutual to showcase its brand and offerings to both customers and potential customers.

The “Swinging into the Mutual Future” theme resonated with Old Mutual’s business goals, which aim to grow with Malawians into the mutual future by offering products that help achieve short and long-term financial goals.

The success of the tournament has set the stage for the next event, scheduled for August 23, 2025, in Lilongwe at the Lilongwe Golf Club.
