Redbrick Limited donates Covid-19 PPEs to Malawi’s Chichiri Prison

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-In a quest to meet its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) amid Covid-19 spike, Redbrick Limited on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 donated Covid-19’s Preventive, Protective Equipments (PPEs) to Malawi’s Chichiri Prison in Blantyre.

The PPEs worthy MK1.5million including thermometers, pails, sanitizers aimed to contain the virus spread.

The donation comes barely months after the company’s directors including Maaz Batatawala and Sabina Batatawala made similar support of MK1.5 million to Queens Central Hospital in Blantyre.

Redbrick Limited’s Sales Manager Jamie de Silva said the donation aimed at helping the prison to prevent the virus into the facility for inmates safety.

de Silva assured the nation to do more on prevention materials against Coronavirus.

Redbrick Limited’s donted Covid-19 PPEs

In his remarks after receiving the donation a Mr Chagwa, Chichiri Prison station manager lauded Redbrick Limited’s gesture saying is timely.

Chagwa assured the company’s donation that will be used for its intended purpose to contain the virus.

He therefore urged other firms to emulate Redbrick Limited’s gesture to do more on inmates as the need is huge.

As of June 1, 2020, Malawi had 336 Covid-19 cases with four deaths.
