LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The two Lilongwe Giants, Civil Service United and Silver Strikers FC are sniffing the Airtel top eight finale as they crush in the semifinals at Bingu National Stadium tomorrow Saturday in a crucial Lilongwe Derby.

Daniel Kabwe’s boys know for sure what threat the servants are posing to them as they managed to collect four points in the TNM Super League season,after defeating them by two goals to one in the first round at Civo with Lanken Mwale and Raphael scoring for the servants whilst Foster Biton scored for the Bankers, before playing to a one all draw in the second round at Silver Stadium.

However, today’s game is a different one with a different atmosphere and target to both teams.

Both teams claim the preparations have been good so far and ready to face each other at the Magnificent Bingu National Stadium today, Saturday, December 11, 2021.

Franco Ndawa Civil Coach said everything has been going on well and that the team is ready to reach the finals of the Airtel top eight.

He added that every player is in great shape ahead of the crucial encounter,they grabbed FDH BANK CUP hence this time they deserve to lose in this stage,” he said.

MacDonald Yobe, Silver Strikers FC Assistant Coach, said it is an important game which at all cost they have to win,saying they have rectified the problems they had.

He added that they surely know that Civil defeated them in TNM Super League and holding them in the last match hence the right time to revenge the beating.

Bingu National Stadium has been a slaughtering place for Silver Strikers as for several times they have punished teams in different competitions.

They defeated Mighty Wanderers by three goals to one in FDH Cup finals,Karonga united in Airtel top eight just to mention but a few.

The winner between the two teams will battle it out against Nyasa Big Bullets who reached the finals after thrashing their neighbor Mighty Wanderers by four goals to one.

Silver Strikers are the defending Champions of the Airtel top eight after last winning it in 2019.
