UDINE-(MaraviPost)-Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) claimed the UEFA Super Cup title after a dramatic comeback victory over Tottenham Hotspur in Udine, Italy.

The match, played at the Dacia Arena in front of a packed crowd, delivered plenty of drama and excitement for neutral fans.

Tottenham took the lead early in the first half but PSG refused to back down.

The French champions halved the deficit in the 78th minute when Kylian Mbappé finished clinically from inside the box after a slick passing move.

With just minutes left on the clock, substitute Gonçalo Ramos pounced on a defensive error to level the score at 2-2, forcing the match into penalties.

In the tense shootout that followed, both sides held their nerve early on, but Tottenham faltered when Maddison’s spot-kick was saved by PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

PSG’s captain Marquinhos then stepped up to convert the decisive penalty, sealing a 4-3 win in the shootout.

The victory marked PSG’s first UEFA Super Cup triumph in their history, adding another trophy to their growing European ambitions.
