‘The Copenhagen Test’ Ending Explained Before Potential Season 2

Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera‘s The Copenhagen Test took viewers on a wild ride that ended with several shocking cliffhangers and a surprising ending — but could there be a season 2?

In the Peacock series, which premiered on Saturday, December 27, Alexander (Liu) is introduced as an intelligence agent who found out his mind was hacked — causing outsiders to see what he sees and hears. Alexander must piece together who hacked him while trying to prove his allegiance to his own agency.

The finale concluded with Alexander creating a plan to take down the enemy. He realized that his former fiancée, Rachel (Hannah Cruz), gave him the pills that hacked his senses while his friend Victor (Saul Rubinek) engineered the experiment.

Victor ordered the Copenhagen Test but revealed it was part of a larger experiment to prove whether a human could remain loyal and could function amid a fabricated reality. Alexander saw other ongoing live broadcasts — including one that involved Michelle (Barrera) a.k.a a woman Alexander thought he met by chance but she was embedded in his life on purpose as a spy.

Most Shocking 2025 TV Moments: From Baby Twists to Secret Husband Reveals

“Wherever the show winds up going. It is designed to be ongoing,” creator Thomas Brandon exclusively told Us Weekly. “We’re going to follow two things. Where is the technology going? How does it grow? How does it adapt? How does it evolve? How does that continue to teach us something about this moment?”

He continued: “We also know we’re telling the story of a child of immigrants. We’re telling a story about a first-generation American who has a complicated relationship to loyalty and allegiance and how far is he willing to go to do the right thing. Those are the two tracks we know we’re going on.”

Liu, who was born in China before moving to Canada, and Barrera, who moved to United States from Mexico, reflected on the way the show was told through the lens of an immigrant.

“Just that sense of self is important. It’s really important for us as individuals to realize all the ways that we’re manipulated and conditioned by things and systems around us,” Liu told Us. “Particularly in our upbringing, we’re taught certain things [like], ‘This country is good and that country is bad. These are the good guys and those are bad guys.’”

Liu discussed his own perspective on the concept, adding, “You grow up and you realize that history and all things are just so much more nuanced than that. So this idea of giving blind faith to a government — first of all no government is perfect. Blind faith to a government or to a country [is] weighing that against your own personal moral compass. I just think to have a strong sense of self and to know where you stand and where your sense of right and wrong is. That’s just the most important thing to stand up for what that is and to fight for it.”

Which TV Shows Are Renewed in 2025-2026?

The actor noted he always “really, really admired” Barrera’s ability to speak up. (Before The Copenhagen Test, Barrera was fired from the Scream film franchise following her comments about the conflict between Israel and Palestine.)

“What is funny is that most heroes of shows — of any kind of genre — whether it is thrillers or action movies, the hero is always the the person that fights the system and resists the censorship,” Barrera shared. “Or just the weird rules of, ‘You got to do this even though it’s wrong because it’s right for us and it works for our system.’ Even though it’s morally questionable, I feel like it’s just so funny to me that we see and it’s so evident when we’re watching media who we’re rooting for. It’s always the rebel that is fighting against the system. I just find it interesting.”

The Copenhagen Test is currently streaming on Peacock.

‘Big Brother’ Expert Taran Armstrong Calls Live Feeds a ‘Safeguard’ in Book

Big Brother’s favorite live feed updater Taran Armstrong is stressing the importance of having the 24-hour footage for the show.

Big Brother was born in controversy that has only ever continued to evolve with the show over time. From racist remarks and behaviors to threats of violence, expulsions, attempts at censorship and more,” Armstrong wrote in his new book, Behind the Mirror, which hit bookstands on Tuesday, November 25. “The live feeds have at least functioned as a safeguard against the worst the genre has to offer.”

Over the years, Armstrong has become a popular figure in the Big Brother fanbase as he provides daily updates about what’s going on in the house as a member of the “Rob Has a Podcast” (RHAP) team. (“RHAP” was created by Survivor alum Rob Cesternino and is a popular reality TV podcast that covers countless shows including Survivor, Big Brother, The Traitors and more.)

Armstrong added that while the Big Brother live feeds are a protective agent for the players and viewers, “there’s still plenty of room for improvement” as the show has continued to run for nearly three decades.

Why Lance Bass Would Never Go on ‘Big Brother’ Despite Being a Big Fan

Fans of Big Brother know all too well that there have been countless controversies surrounding the show over the years. In Behind the Mirror, Armstrong recalls the history of Big Brother, starting with the show’s early beginnings as an adaptation of the original Netherlands program before becoming the Americanized version fans know today. Armstrong also revisits the show’s countless controversial moments, from ones that fans will recognize from certain episodes to others that never made the final cut.

“There’s so much learning that you can do through the show. And one of the things that you can learn is the ways that other reality shows might be lying to you that you don’t even realize,” Armstrong exclusively told Us Weekly about why the live feeds make Big Brother special while discussing his book. “Because if you at least know the events of the feeds, you don’t need to watch them yourself. This is the main thing that a lot of people feel like, ‘Well, I’m not interested in the live feeds at all, because that’s way too much, or it might be boring.’ Most people are not watching the feeds. 24/7, most people are consuming the live feeds through social media or podcasts like mine, where they’re getting an update, sort of day to day, almost like you would a sports league.”

Armstrong also talked about how the game has evolved thanks to iconic players like Dr. Will Kirby, Dan Gheesling, Taylor Hale and more.

While Armstrong is aware that not all reality TV lovers will be intrigued by his coverage of the history of Big Brother, he hopes that “people will find something valuable” in what he wrote.

“[I’m] trying to find a place of acceptance that it will not be for everyone. Some people will come to it, looking for something that’s not there, especially because it’s about reality TV,” Armstrong said of what he hopes Big Brother fans will take away from his debut book. “If you come to this book looking for juicy secrets and details or whatever, or gossip, you know that’s not really what the book was intended to be. So I hope that the people that are able to get something out of it.”

‘Big Brother’ Controversies Through the Years

Armstrong started writing Behind the Mirror after season 24 ended in September 2022. The podcaster spent a lot of time researching the history behind the show while also speaking to other players about their experiences in the game, including Tiffany Mitchell, winner Steve Moses and more. While Armstrong is used to covering Big Brother in real-time, going back to the archives was an interesting experience.

“When a season is live, it’s very up and down, you know? And the way that I cover a season live, as I mentioned, I’m live every day, and so every day, I’m telling a story of what happened the previous day, while also telling the story,” he told Us. “Up until this point, I’m every day sort of reevaluating what is the story of the season and when you’re when you’re looking back, especially when you’re looking back at a huge swath of history, it’s a lot easier to see the through line for the stories that can be told about it, or at least the ones that that I that I cared about and really loved.”

Behind the Mirror is available now and the audiobook is narrated by Armstrong.

Burkina Faso forces killed 100 civilians in March – HRW

At least 100 civilians were killed by Burkina Faso government forces in March near the western town of Solenzo, Human Rights Watch said Monday.

According to victim testimony and videos shared on social media gathered by the rights group, the attackers were Burkina Faso special forces and members of a pro-government militia, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland.

The victims were all ethnic Fulani, a pastoralist community that is widespread across the region, which the government has long accused of supporting Muslim militants.

An earlier report from Human Rights Watch stated that the government’s involvement was likely, because of video evidence on social media, although the findings were not definitive.

The government issued a sharp denial when first reports surfaced, saying in a statement it “condemned the propagation, on social media, of images inducing hate and community violence, and fake information aimed at undermining social cohesion” in the country.

“The viral videos of the atrocities by pro-government militias near Solenzo sent shock waves through Africa’s Sahel region, but they told only part of the story,” said Ilaria Allegrozzi, senior Sahel researcher at Human Rights Watch. “Further research uncovered that Burkina Faso’s military was responsible for these mass killings of Fulani civilians, which were followed by deadly reprisals by an Islamist armed group. The government needs to impartially investigate these deaths and prosecute all those responsible.”

Burkina Faso authorities did not immediately reply to a request for comment on the group’s new report.

The landlocked nation of 23 million people has symbolized the security crisis in the arid Sahel region south of the Sahara in recent years. It has been shaken by violence from extremist groups linked to Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State group, and the governments fighting them.

The military junta, which took power in 2022, failed to provide the stability it promised. According to conservative estimates, more than 60% of the country is now outside of government control, more than 2.1 million people have lost their homes and almost 6.5 million need humanitarian aid to survive.

The attack in the western Boucle du Mouhoun region, including Solenzo and other towns, began on Feb. 27 and lasted until April 2, involving hundreds of government troops and drones, according to eyewitnesses quoted in the report.

“The VDPs shot at us like animals, while drones were flying over our heads. Many women and children died because they could not run,” said a Fulani herder, 44, from Solenzo, referring to the pro-government militias.

After the attack, hundreds of Fulani residents fled across the border into neighbouring Mali, the report said.

“Today, in the whole province, there are no more Fulani — they all fled or were killed or taken hostage,” said a 53-year-old man from Solenzo. “But the other (ethnic) communities remain.”

After the government forces left, the report said that jihadist fighters from a group known as JNIM reentered the towns and carried out reprisal killings against residents, targeting the men whom it considered to be military collaborators.

“All the men had been executed in front of the health center,” said a 60-year-old woman who witnessed JNIM abuses in Tiao village, a town to the northeast of Solenzo on April 5. “I counted up to 70 bodies.”

According to analysts, the junta’s strategy of military escalation, including mass recruitment of civilians for poorly trained militia units, has exacerbated tensions between ethnic groups.

It it impossible to get an accurate picture of the situation in the country since the military leadership has installed a system of de facto censorship, rights groups said, and those daring to speak up can be openly abducted, imprisoned or forcefully drafted into the army.

YouTube Takes Another Hit on Truth: Watched TB Joshua Channel Remove

Sources: Watched TB Joshua

In an expected move, YouTube seems to be taking sides in the ongoing controversy surrounding the staged and fabricated BBC documentary on Prophet TB Joshua and the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN). The latest target is the “Watched TB Joshua” YouTube channel, which has been taken down, making one to question the platform’s commitment to neutrality.

The channel, known for its objective analysis and exposure of falsehoods and slander in the BBC documentary, joins the ranks of other pro-TB Joshua channels that have faced similar takedowns. This includes the official YouTube channel of Prophet TB Joshua and SCOAN. The common thread among these channels is their dedication to presenting an alternative perspective and unveiling the truth with evidences.

YouTube’s actions are preventing the dissemination of views contrary to those presented in the BBC controversial documentary. This moves should spark concerns about censorship and the suppression of alternative narratives, leaving the public with limited access to different viewpoints.

The situation raises questions about the integrity of YouTube, a platforms that play a significant role in shaping public opinion. This act is indicative of a broader trend where alternative voices are stifled, limiting the public’s ability to make informed decisions.

They don’t want the public to know the truth. They are blocking alternative views, and the public must be wise; these are signs of end times. Do not be deceived; the world and its establishment are after the true church.

In response to this censorship, “Watched TB Joshua” has taken preemptive measures. Anticipating potential removal, the channel has already established a presence on Rumble, an alternative video-sharing platform. The new channel on Rumble aims to continue providing exclusive content related to TB Joshua and SCOAN, ensuring that subscribers and supporters can access information beyond the reach of mainstream platforms.

The call to action encourages those interested in TB Joshua and SCOAN to subscribe to the Rumble channel via the link: https://rumble.com/c/Watchedtbjoshua. This move is seen as a strategic step to counter the limitations imposed by YouTube and maintain an open dialogue about the ongoing events.

As the controversy unfolds, the takedown of “Watched TB Joshua” on YouTube raises critical questions about the role of major platforms in controlling information flow and the potential impact on public perception. It also serves as a reminder that alternative platforms may become essential in preserving diverse perspectives and fostering free expression in an increasingly interconnected digital landscape.
