CRECK Hardware embarks on MK54m Msundwe police unit project

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-CRECK Hardware and General Suppliers, and its subsidiary companies (CK ceramics and Shalom Schools) has embarked on a multi-million and ambitious Msundwe Police Unit construction project in Lilongwe.

The project worth in excess of MK52 million is within the corporate social responsibility programs CRECK Hardware and General Suppliers implements in giving back to the Malawian community as a business entity.  

Apostle Clifford Kawinga the Managing Director of CRECK Hardware said his company received a request from the Malawi Police Service though the office of the Inspector General to help with the construction of the Msundwe Police Unit.

“We received the request to help the police with the construction of the Msundwe Police Unit since the old structure was burnt down during the 2019 electoral results protests,” said Apostle Kawinga.

He went saying as a socially responsible company, he noted that the construction of the Police unit at Msundwe was worthwhile because it would enhance security to citizens in and around Msundwe.

“We are now constructing a complete new structure that is very big. It is as big and 10meters by 26 meters structure worth in excess of K52,” Apostle Kawinga said.

Apostle Kawinga elaborated that the new structure will include all the required offices at a police station including two contemporary cells.

“CRECK as a Malawian bred corporate, we believe that we have a responsibility to contribute to the Malawi development agenda hence our involvement in a number of Corporate Social Responsibility projects,” said Apostle Kawinga adding, “It is very unfortunate that mostly corporate social responsibility is often times left to multinational companies than local firms”

Apostle Kawinga has since called on local firms to embrace the concept of corporate social responsibility so that they join the development agenda of Malawi.

Meanwhile Community Policing chairperson for Msundwe Patrick Joseph has hailed Apostle Kawinga for the support to Msundwe.

“Our area is fragile and sensitive to crime and security; we are grateful to Apostle. Kawinga for embarking on this construction project,” Patric Joseph said. 

The presence of a police station is an assurance that people will be helped and their goods, property and life will be secured, said Joseph.

Group Village headman Chinkhonda Kaondo said he has been rendered speechless to see a local Malawi business man supporting the area with a project of big magnitude.

“We are so grateful and may the good Lord increase where he is taking his money and may his business grow further,” he said adding that as a community leader he will take an effort that the structure should be protected even where there are conflicts of any nature”

Group Kaonda further said Apostle kawinga has added beauty to our area and we promise this will never be burnt or destroy under any sictuation.

Msundwe police is surrounded by 15 group villages heads all coming from senior chief kalolo,   Senior Chief Malili and Traditional Authority M’bwatalika in Lilongwe.

Besides Msundwe ambitious project, CRECK hardware also embarked on a project which is extending and renovating some structures at Mchinji Police station following a request by the Mchinji Police Station.

Recently during the citizen initiative on COViID-19 fundraising led by Onjezani Kena, Apostle Clifford Kawinga also donated MK10m.

Additionally during this very COVID-19 pandemic he also donated preventive materials to over 10,000 people in selected district through salvation for all ministry where is the founder.

Central Region Football Association on double football leagues launch

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-On Sunday September 26, 2021,was a busy day in the office for Central Region Football Association (CRFA) as the association conducted district football league launches in two different districts.

The Association have launched MK2 million Nkhotakota CRECK Hardware Football League in Nkhotakota district and MK2 million Saint Louis High School Dedza District Football League.

Speaking to journalists in Nkhotakota Goodwell Chinjoka, the vice Chairman for CRFA, said they are excited as an Association because they are now implementing what they promised during the campaign.

Chinjoka said the association expects district football Associations to run the league in a professional manner. The Vice Chairperson has assured the sponsors CRECK Hardware that the league will be free and fair.

Chairman for Nkhotakota District Football Association Amon Lunda, hailed CRECK Hardware and CRFA for the sponsorship which has been lacking in the district for years.

Lunda therefore assured the sponsors and Central Region Football Association that they will patronize the league in a professional way so that they safeguard the Sponsorship.

Prophet Chikondi Kulisinji who represented the Sponsors CRECK Hardware owned by Apostle Criford Kawinga of Salvation for All Ministry said is determined to continue with the Sponsorship as long as discipline is preserved during the league saying doing this will help to preach the Gospel.

Kulisinji also said the leagues they are supporting will ease tension which football governing bodies in the country are facing.

CRECK Hardware through Apostle Kawinga are sponsoring football leagues in two districts namely; Ntchisi and Nkhotakota with MK4 million,two million kwacha each district for a year with possibilities of renewal upon good management of the leagues.

At Dedza Stadium where another league launch took place, Douglas Thom, Saint Louis High School Manager, who are the Sponsors, said they have come to stay in the football industry saying this is just the beginning of good things.

Thom said, they are expecting Dedza District Football Association to run the league smoothly so that the aim of the School for Sponsoring the league is achieved including nurturing hidden talents which will eventually go and play in Superleague and National teams.

Saint Louis High School is also sponsoring Dedza District Football League to the tune of MK2 million Kwacha for one year with condition of renewing if it is run successfully.

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-CRECK Hardware on Thursday, August 12, 2021 was unveiled as the main sponsor of Nkhotakota and Ntchisi district football leagues.

Central Region Football Association therefore welcomed Apostle Clifford Kawinga who runs CRECK Hardware for the two districts leagues to the tune of MK4 million which is MK2 million per distric

Speaking to Journalists after the unveiling ceremony, Apostle Clifford Kawinga of Salvation for All Ministry said was grateful to be sponsoring football in the region which he described it as a WILL OF GOD.

Kawinga said,if the Grace of God is upon them in terms of finance,they will consider sponsoring other districts and increase the packages.

‘We are expecting the patronage to be professional and that the leagues are free from violence. The league will help lives of young aged people to grow both spiritually and mentally, Idle mind is Devils workshop hence as they come together and play football they will restrain from doing evil things,” he added.CRECK Hardware is also Sponsoring Chipiku Premier Division side Kawinga FC.

A one year contract has been signed between Central Region Football Association and CRECK Hardware.

Antonio Manda Vice General Secretary for CRFA who is also a member of Strategic Committee formed to help in searching for the sponsors said,as a committee they are so grateful for the timely sponsorship rendered to them by Apostle Kawinga through CRECK Hardware.

Manda said, “These leagues will help in talent identifications which will benefit Malawi as a whole,hence appealed to Super League teams to be watching games from these leagues to scout players”.

The Vice General Secretary assured the Sponsors that they will make sure the patronage is good so that they safeguard the sponsorship.

Currently only two districts from Central Region namely Kasungu and Ntcheu they do not have Sponsors which Manda said, they are working teeth and nail to find Sponsors before October this year.
