BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—Mighty Be Forward Wanderers have received a huge boost ahead of tomorrow’s crucial match against Epac at Civo Stadium as defender Harry Nyirenda has been cleared.
Nyirenda has been having trainings with Wanderers but he could not be featured in games as he was waiting for clearance.
The Nomads, through Football Association of Malawi (Fam), sought the International Transfer Clearance (ITC) from South African Football Association (Safa). The clearance was issued on Thursday.
According the Daily Times, Fam Transfer System Matching Manager, Casper Jangale, confirmed receipt of the clearance.
Nomads Team Manager, Steve Madeira, said Nyirenda was a good signing for the star-studded Wanderers.
“He is an experienced player and he will bring competition in the team. He will boost our defence and we are really excited that he will start playing for us,” Madeira said.
Meanwhile, it is not known who will guide the Lali Lubani road boys tomorrow as head coach Addie Ng’onamo is in Denmark where he is expected to spend a month on attachments at some lower league teams.
His assistant Elia Kananji cannot fill the position as he does not have the required CAF B coaching licence.
Team manager Madeira told media yesterday that they were still waiting for direction from the team’s management.
