Zambian man kills wife, employer’s wife before committing suicide

LUSAKA-(MaraviPost)-Farm Caretaker in the Village of Chief Mukungule’s Chiefdom in Mpika District of Muchinga Province committed suicide after murdering his wife and his employer’s wife.

Muchinga Province Deputy Police Commanding Officer, Lucky Munkondya, confirmed the incident on March 12, 2022.

Munkondya said the deceased, Morris Mwansa, had been on the run after murdering his wife Memory Bwalya ,31, of the same village and Catherine Ngoma, 45 , of Farmers Training College (FTC) Compound.

According to Lusaka Times report, 30 year old Mwansa was a caretaker at Kenny Shakalima’s farm and on the fateful day, Shakalima visited the farm and found his caretaker drunk which did not please him. He later told Mwansa that his services where no longer needed at the farm.

The news did not sit well with Mwansa who later narrated everything to his wife which resulted in a heated argument before he left the house and went on drinking spree.

On his return, he met his wife and axed her to death at his matrimonial homer before proceeding to axe his employer’s wife Catherine Ngoma who was busy at the crop field at the time.

The bodies of the two women were buried after postmortem and Mwansa’s body has been deposited into Mpika Urban clinic mortuary awaiting postmortem.
