BULAWAYO-(MaraviPost)-The Bulawayo award winning comedian, Clive Chigubu, 31, has died after long time battle with cancer of the lymphatic system.
Chigubu’s uncle, Prince Mboweni confirmed the news adding that the comedian passed away around 5.30am on Wednesday morning.

“I would like to let everyone know that Chigubu is no more. This unfortunate incident occurred this (Wednesday) morning, we are now trying to make the necessary preparations. We appreciate all the efforts that everyone has done,” said Mboweni.
Chigubhu had been ill for some time. He was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) last year. Recently, friends, colleagues and well-wishers were in the process of trying to get him medication after learning of his illness this week.
He started treatment on 25 April 2022 and died alongside his family on 27 April 2022 in his home, Newsday reported.
Born on August 13 1990 in Bulawayo to a single parent, Chigubu started acting while in high school. He founded the Yeyeee Family initiative which is centred on bettering the lives of people living in Bulawayo’s ghettos.
In 2008, he won an award for the play “What Happened at the Bus Stop” at the Amakhosi Dream to Fame competition.
In his career, Chigubu is credited for having helped in the forming of Umahlekisa comedy club along with Ntando Van Moyo.
