LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Lilongwe Golf Club’s Captain, Duncan Chidzankufa has hailed Airtel Malawi Limited for coming up with a one-day golf tournament that will see 180 golfers battling it out for prizes at the facility.
Chidzankufa said the large number of golfers competing is a clear indication that the sponsorship is not going unnoticed.
“I am excited with the turnup of golfers, we value the Airtel Sponsorship a lot. We consider Airtel Malawi as the biggest golf sponsor so for them to come in this year.
“This year this is the biggest turn-up we have at Lilongwe Golf and let me take this opportunity to ask the corporate world to come and partner with us,” said Chidzankufa.
Airtel Malawi Managing Director Charles Kamoto says the tourney has cost them MK30 million.
He said the company is using the tournament to interact with clientele on innovations and other products offered by the Network Service provider.
Airtel Malawi conducted the same kind of tournament in Blantyre on August 14, 2023, where 160 golfers participated.
