MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-Former Deputy Director of Operations for the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Joseph Nyirongo has defected to odya zake alibe mlandu.

Nyirongo popularly known as Big Joe said in an interview with this publication that he has joined OZAM because it is the only party that has vision for Malawi.

Big Joe cited his democratic right to associate with any party of his choice as the reason for joining Odya Zake Alibe Mlandu, which he described as a movement loved and supported by many Malawians.

The party, led by Vice President Dr. Michael Usi, has been gaining momentum nationwide, with Big Joe’s defection seen as a boost to its growing popularity.

According to Big Joe, his decision is driven by a desire to contribute to national development and promote peace, particularly with the September 16 elections on the horizon.

“Malawi needs voices of peace and action, not just politics. I’m here to add value and promote development,” he emphasized.

The Odya Zake Alibe Mlandu party was officially registered earlier this year, with its leadership citing a vision for a more prosperous and self-reliant Malawi.

The party’s message appears to be resonating with many Malawians, who are eager for change and development.

Big Joe’s move is expected to send ripples through Malawi’s political landscape, further solidifying the Odya Zake Alibe Mlandu party’s position as a rising force in the country’s politics.
