The midweek sports scene is buzzing with excitement, featuring thrilling matches and unexpected results across various competitions.

In the UEFA Women’s Euro Quarter-finals, Germany edged out France in a penalty shootout, winning 6-5 after a 1-1 draw in extra time on Friday. Spain also advanced to the semi-finals after securing a convincing 2-0 victory over Switzerland on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the Scottish League Cup, Cove Rangers and Falkirk played out a goalless draw, with Falkirk emerging victorious 4-2 on penalties on Saturday.

Valentin Gómez’s transfer to Real Betis finalized for a fee of £6.5m and a contract until June 2030.

Other transfer rumors include Manchester United’s reported interest in Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, valued between £80m and £100m. Barcelona’s potential deal for Marcus Rashford, which could include a 15% pay cut and a €30m buy option for June 2026.
