r #MEC Chairperson, Dr. Jane Ansah, announces second #OfficialResults for the Presidential Vote tabulation as at around 75.81 % as follows:.

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi President Peter Mutharika is now leading the May 21 poll with 40.49% out of 75% counted.

 

Below are results:

Total Votes cast: 3,548,848

  • Reverend Lazarus Chakwera 1,257,853 35.44%
  • Saulos Chilima 651,124 18.35%\
  • JEC 14,288 0.40%
  • Kaliya 11,789 0.33%
  • Kuwani 15,418 0.43 %
  • AAM 161,499 4.55%
  • Arthur Peter Mutharika 1, 436,877 40.49%

    Correction 75% Centers not votes. Actually it is 52% of votes counted which means 48% of votes have not been counted.
