Malawi’s Judiciary Spokesperson, Mlenga Mvula confirmed the incident to The Maravi Post that the court’s postponement of the case was due to the collapse of Whiskey who has been admitted to Blantyre Adventist Hospital for further medication.

According to Mvula, the accused-Whiskey came a bit late to court which delayed the proceeding as she was expected to answers some questions regarding to her involvement in the matter.

“It’s indeed that madam Whiskey is admitted at Blantyre Adventist Hospital upon her collapsing in the dock.

“What actually happened is that she came a bit late and the court adjourned the proceedings temporarily waiting for her arrival. Then upon arrival we just discovered that she was in the dock and started gasping then the court realized that she collapsed before the judge commenced the proceeding.

“Eventually, she was rushed to the hospital and the judge adjourned the case till tomorrow around 9 O’Clock. However, the court wouldn’t say she was afraid to stand before court  as she did appear last week,”explained Mvula.
