CHITIPA-(MaraviPost)-A teacher at Ilinga Private Secondary School in Chitipa district has committed suicide by hanging himself after disagreement with his wife.
According to Chitipa Police Station Public Relations Officer, Gladwell Simwaka, the late, Saidi Mwanguku, chose to slay himself on Monday March 9, 2020, at his home at Ishalikira Village, Traditional Authority (T.A) Mwaulambia in the district after discovering that his wife was in a private affair with another man.
It is reported that the wife works with Kalenge Water Board in the district and this place is slightly far from where the late husband used to stay and work.
The late husband discovered later on that his wife was seeing another man from where she was working.
This did not bring any peace to the husband and so he decided to hang himself after writing a note explaining why he decided to take his own life.
His body was found dangling in his house where he was staying alone.
A postmortem conducted at Chitipa District Hospital indicated that the death was due to strangulation.
Mwanguku, 39, hailed from Chibanda Village , T.A Mwenemisuku in the same district.
Meanwhile, Police in country are advising people to desist from the decision of taking their lives, instead they should seek psychotherapy whenever they are emotionally upset.
