MWANZA-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi police at Mwanza station are keeping in custody Weston Junsa 53, a court clerk at Mwanza First Grade Magistrate Court for defiling his 13 year old stepdaughter.

Mwanza Police station publicist Edwin Kaunda told the Maravi Post that on November 10, 2020, the suspect Junsa was at home with his stepdaughter as his wife had escorted another child to a nursery school.

The suspect thereafter coaxed the girl and went with her into her bedroom where he defiled her.

“When the mother arrived home, she was surprised to see her daughter looking so unhappy. She asked her what happened and the girl explained what her step father had done to her.

“The mother reported the issue to Mwanza police and the girl was referred to Mwanza District Hospital where medical examination confirmed that the girl was defiled. Junsa will appear in court soon to answer the charge of defilement,” says Kaunda.

The suspect Weston Junsa hails from Kalupsya village, Traditional Authority (TA) Mbenje in Nsanje.
