ACB warns against corruption in HSA recruitment

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost )-The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has warned recruitment officials and job applicants about corruption in the hiring process for Health Surveillance Assistants (HSAs) and other local government positions.

In an interview with Maravi Post, the bureau’s Director General(DG ) Hilary Chilomba,said they have received numerous reports of bribery related to the recruitment of HSAs and other council roles.

He stressed that the recruitment process must adhere to the law and that neither bribes should be solicited nor given.

Cholomba emphasized that neither recruitment officials nor applicants should be involved in bribery.

He added that they will investigate and prosecute all those implicated in the corrupt practices.
