Bushiri congratulates Mutharika for receiving african leadership award

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—As the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), through their publications, Malawi Voice and Malawi Independent, continues denting the image Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, the man of God has put himself in class of his own by congratulating President Peter Mutharika for scooping leadership award.
President Peter Mutharika on Thursday received the African Leadership award from the African Leadership Magazine Group in recognition for his statesmanship.

Mutharika received the award at a colourful ceremony held in New York, USA. The president is in the USA attending the 71^st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Writing on his official facebook, Bushiri described the Mutharika’s award as good news to Malawi.

“In commencement of my day today, I would like to congratulate Malawi President, Professor Peter Mutharika for the prestigious Great Leadership Award and Medal of Honor in recognition of his ‘exceptional leadership.’

This is a good news to Malawi as a country and I am particularly happy that, as Malawian, he has put our great and successful nation on the world map once again, all curtsey of his great efforts to Make Malawi a prosperous nation,” Bushiri wrote.

“I believe in recognizing the efforts of others. A person can never be a failure at everything, this award simply shows that our president has demonstrated great visions in some areas to get recognized internationally by the African Leadership Magazine which according to reports, has also awarded other great African Leaders.

It has always been my prayer that Malawi be known globally for the good reasons above the usual African suffering. As a Malawian, I am happy for and proud of the president and I know more awards are on the way,” he added.

Bushiri’s congratulation comes as many Malawians denounce the award as fake and an insult to the citizens who are enduring the brunt of myopic leadership of the DPP regime.
